Clearly we don’t want to spend a fortune on our international money transfers. The worst thing about paying over the odds is that it is clear from the amount that was sent and the amount that was received that someone somewhere has made a nice profit off the transfer.
The Rate
Some people mix this in with the first point but it is really a separate point of its own. The rate might be good but the charges could be high, or vice versa. A low rate which can be booked in advance is ideal, and we also want to see up to the minute market information so that we know that the deal is the best that we can get.
The Convenience
Do you want to go to the bank and stand in a queue before doing your international money transfers? A far better option is to do them on the internet and from the convenience of wherever we choose to do them. If we can satisfy this point and the previous two as well then most of us will be happy that we have got a good deal.
